Make the most of your time at a coastal university and learn to scuba dive with one of the most established sports clubs at the University of Sussex. The Sussex coast is rich with historic ship wrecks and amazing marine life and some of the best diving in the UK is within easy reach.
The University of Sussex Sub Aqua Club has been operating for over thirty years and has trained hundreds of Sussex and Brighton university students to dive. We are one of the best equipped and friendliest clubs at the University of Sussex with dive gear for all our trainees and our own 6M dive boat.
We have a dedicated team of qualified diving instructors who give up their time for free as part of the British Sub Aqua Club training system. BSAC is the largest dive club in the world and has been training divers in the UK and abroad for sixty years!
We provide safe and internationally recognised diver training from complete beginner to advanced. We run frequent local dive trips for both our qualified members and our trainees and we visit other parts of the UK like the South West and Scotland. We also organise overseas trips to warm water locations. And it is not all dive dive dive – we are also a social club with loads going on throughout the year. Some of our members become friends for life!
As well as complete beginners, we welcome qualified divers from all agencies. You can continue your training with us to a higher level or simply come diving.
